Trompe Alhambra Day 52 - Setting up the Scaffold and Rain Roof | Jacqueline Hill Prestige Art Collection
I worked on site today with hubby Phil as a team, to set up our trestle ladders for scaffolding. We also had to attach a more permanent rain roof that will allow the water to run off but give me the best viewing access to the mural. It also needed to allow me to paint all day every day underneath it, regardless of weather.

Phil wanted to do most of the heavy work while I acted as a nurse to the surgeon: handing up clamps, knives and tape.

We carefully set up the trestle ladders, then took the old plastic down:

Then we set up the new plastic with stong clamps and wire to guide the water runoff along a makeshift gutter and into the drain.

The viewing access isn’t perfect but it was more important to keep the painting area dry while I paint from now on.
