Trompe Alhambra Day 24 - Starting to Paint Stone Blocks | Jacqueline Hill Prestige Art Collection
This is the start of a really tricky stage. I have to match the stone blocks I paint as best as I can to the real stone blocks right alongside. This is trickier than you might think.

I think I’m off to a good start though.

I spent a lot of time today standing back, and judging my paint work against the real blocks to see what tweaks needed to be made.

The day started with a big cleanup of tarps and sweeping after the recent winds dropped a ton of tiny leaves all over the tarps and footpath where I need to tape the tarp edges down. Then the painting of the blocks and judging with artist’s eyes began. The dark clouds started to appear over the sky and the weather radar predicted several days of rain so it was time to get a plastic sheet up over the fresh paint!
