Trompe Wingwall is a magical mural finished early in 2019 by Jacqueline Hill. This artwork was commissioned by Crystal Castle in Mullumbimby, NSW, to enhance their beautiful zen gardens. The Crystal Castle and Shambala Gardens is a world-famous tourist attraction with around 100,000 visitors per year, who travel to see it from countries all across the globe.
The trompe l’oeil mural, painted on a huge 40sqm curved wall, features a peaceful other-worldly vista, framed by marble arches, and full of hidden magical surprises.

The original wall was purpose-built especially for the Trompe Wingwall mural. Three sets of special amethyst geode crystal wings were installed in front of the mural during the process.
